Final October UMich Consumer was revised marginally higher to 57.6, after plummeting from 70.3 in the preliminary report.

The index for economic conditions was revised slightly lower to 58.4 from 75 in September.

The October Outlook Index was revised up to 57 following a reading of 67.2 in September.

The final October UMich Consumer Confidence number is expected to be unchanged from the preliminary reading of 57.5.

The Current Index plunged from 75.0 to 58.9 in the preliminary report and the Expectations Index fell from 67.2 to 56.7. The 1yr inflation expectation rose from 4.3% to 4.5% and the 5yr inflation expectation fell from 3.0% to 2.8%.

    The final September UMich Consumer Confidence is expected at 70.8 after a preliminary reading of 73.1.

    The Current Index rose from 71.0 to 76.5 in the preliminary report and the Expectations Index increased from 57.9 to 70.9. The 1yr inflation expectation declined from 4.8% to 3.6% and the 5yr inflation expectation fell from 3.2% to 2.9%.
