IFO Q3 World Economic Climate Index 73.4 vs 81.4 in Q2
The Munich-based IFO Institute said its index of global economic sentiment fell for the fourth consecutive quarter in Q3 to 73.4 from 81.4 in the three months to June. The economic climate worsened in Europe, where the index fell to 63.1 from 75.9 in Q2. Asian optimism was markedly more muted, falling from 88.0 to 75.9. The North American outlook improved to 62.7 from 60.9, according to the survey, which is conducted in cooperation with the International Chamber of Commerce In Paris (ICC).
