UK June Trade Preview: Expect Visible Balance Unchanged

The UK’s trade in goods balanceĀ is expected unchanged in June, at a deficit of 7.5 billion pounds.

“While UK exporters are benefiting from a recent markedly weaker pound, this is being countered increasingly by softening domestic demand in key foreign markets,” said Howard Archer, chief UK economist at Global Insight.

The UK/non-EU trade deficit was 4 blnĀ pounds in May, and the total deficit was 4.2 bln pounds.
