Canada’s Talisman Profits Decline 23% in Q2
Talisman Energy, the Calgary-based oil and natural-gas producer, announced a 23% decline in Q2 profit from a year ago after gains from asset sales boosted results last year.
The company said net income dropped to C$426mln from C$550mln a year ago, or 41 cents/share from 52 cents/share.
The company, which has about 2/3 of its reserves in North America or the North Sea, was expected to earn 75 cents/share.
